Flash floods in Indonesia's capital city have left more than 20 people dead and forced nearly 30,000 to flee their homes. In recent years authorities have tried to improve the low-lying city's vulnerability to flooding which on Thursday caused the temporary closure of the runway at Jakarta’s domestic Halim airport, with flights redirected to the capital’s bigger Soekarno airport.
