Geotechnical Frontiers 2025 occurs every six years and is the merging of the Geosynthetics Conference and the annual Geo-Congress replacing both events in 2025. This popular event is where the geotechnical, civil and geo-professional communities unite to share developments in geotechnical engineering and technologies. To prepare for the 2025 conference in Lousiville, we bring you a series of live streams featuring case histories from the Ohio River Valley region! Our fourth in the series will be presented Thursday, February 6, at 2pm ET. Peggy Hagerty Duffy of Hagerty Engineering will present on the Louisville Zoo sinkhole and the adjacent underground quarry. Peggy Hagerty Duffy, P.E., D. GE, is a graduate of the University of Louisville and has over 30 years experience in the fields of t, and she has evaluated and treated hundreds of sinkholes. Hagerty Duffy also oversees all research, technical activities, and governmental relations for the International Association of Foundation Drilling (ADSC). She is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Academy of Geo-Professionals (AGP) of ASCE.
