The Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) extends an invitation to university students, faculty, and staff to attend Dam Safety 2007, ASDSO’s annual national conference, which will be held September 9-13, 2007, in Austin.
ASDSO strongly encourages undergraduate and graduate student presentations in fields related to dam safety, including engineering, geology, hydrology, environmental and agricultural sciences, construction, risk assessment, and more. A variety of presentation formats are possible, including group and individual presentations and poster presentations. The abstracts deadline for student presentations is March 10. Conference details and an on-line abstract submission form are available at www.damsafety.org.
There will be no charge for student attendance at conference sessions.

ASDSO is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the prevention of catastrophic dam failures. Its members are more than 2,200 state and federal officials, engineering consultants, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers, researchers, teachers, dam owners and operators, and university students.
