The main goal of this workshop is to teach the use and basic concepts of modelling road embankments on soft soil in PLAXIS 2D and to train the participants in using the software themselves. During the day aspects on modelling of embankments are discussed as well as different models for soft soil, consolidation analysis and the use of drains. For solving practical problems the latest PLAXIS 2D computer program will be used. It is recommended, though not required, that participants already have experience with the PLAXIS 2D software.

The cost of the workshop is €695. The cost includes lunch and refreshments. The course fee also includes a full set of instruction manuals and the use of a computer.

PLAXIS Workshops focus directly on learning and using the features of the Plaxis software related to the subject of the workshop.
