The objectives of the conference are to bring together porous media theoreticians, modelers, and experimentalists from academia and industry and to provide a forum for exchanging ideas and expertise for advancing the porous media science. This includes problems around developing, producing, and manufacturing porous structures, characterizing them, and/or analyzing flow and transport that in addition, may involve thermal, chemical, electrical and mechanical aspects.
A few among many interesting symposia of this conference to name are:
-Invited session honouring the 2012 InterPore P&G Award winer Andro Mikelic |
-Key Contributions of the 2012 InterPore Honorary Membership Award Recipient Rien van Genuchten |
-The Foundations of Our Understanding of Flow and Transport Porous Media: Invited Session in Honour of Jacob Bear |
-3D image based microstructures and properties simulations |
-Bio-cementation and bio-clogging in porous media: fundamentals and engineering applications |
-Colloidal transport in porous media: laboratory testing, modeling and applications |
