The site started in 2002 as a personal effort of the founder to provide useful information for engineers, students, and academia by taking advantage of the opportunities provided by the Internet. The website, currently having more than 20,000 visitors and 100's of thousands of hits per month, has grown to include a number of unique tools and resources. As our Profession evolves there is a need for a centre for geoengineering information dissemination. A place where the members of the geo-profession will find useful resources, learn about the latest news in our Profession and keep up with the progress of research. The website aims to satisfy that need. For such an undertaking to succeed, the participation of the visitors of the website is imperative. The Geoengineer website counts on the input of its visitors. All visitors can contribute in many ways and through the integration of this input, a huge database of information is created and continuously enhanced. The content and resources of the website increase constantly. More activities are initiated and promoted through the website and the opportunities are endless.
